*Please note the Academy of Medicine offers a variety of tables (60”, 48” or 36” round or rectangle, high top tables), so normal capacity varies for each room. Moving forward we will only use 60” inch round tables. This will maximize spacing. The capacities listed are only for the 60” round table that will now be required.

The beauty of the upper level lies in the fine architectural details found through-out the space, the abundance of natural light that shines through the domed ceiling and the classically designed furniture in each of the rooms.

Rotunda: The Rotunda acts as the grand foyer, connecting all four upper level rooms. This picturesque space is excellent for welcoming guests into the building.

Theater: The Theater is a graded, fixed style auditorium with seating for 230 guests. It has built in audio visual equipment and a raised stage. The Theater is the ideal space for lectures, presentations, film screenings, ceremonies, and more.

Additional Rooms:  The upper level consists of three additional rooms: The Crystal Dining Room, Library, and Parlor. Each of these spaces can serve a variety of functions depending on your event needs. The Crystal Dining Room is named for the elegant Waterford crystal chandelier that hangs in the center of the room. This room is perfect for private dinners or small meetings. The Library, with four large windows, is a bright room decorated with large bookcases, a fireplace and period furnishings. This room works well for pre event space, small dinners, or boardroom discussions. The Parlor hosts an exquisite Waterford crystal chandelier; this room has an ornate style and is the perfect space for small lunch meetings or airport interview.

Outdoor Spaces: There are two walk-off porches that lead to the spacious front lawn landscaped with beautiful magnolia trees. The front lawn is perfect outdoor space where additional activities or receptions can be held.
